Marketers Can Now View ClickPath Call Conversion Data in Google Analytics

College Station, TX — October 08, 2014 — ClickPath, an award-winning ad tracking solution that uses patented Dynamic Number Insertion technology to tie online visits to offline phone calls, now allows marketers using Google’s latest Universal Analytics tracking method to have their ClickPath phone call conversion data sent to their Google Analytics accounts.

Within Google Analytics, marketers can see an array of data about visitors, such as location, how long a visitor was on the business’s website, what pages the person visited and whether they were a new or returning visitor. Now, ClickPath’s integration interface gives clients the ability to see at a glance if a visitor made a phone call.

“ClickPath’s integration with Google Universal Analytics is a marketer’s dream,” said Who’s Calling Director Jody Huff. “Clients are going to be able to view a more complete picture of their ad efforts in Google Analytics without having to log into multiple interfaces.”

The integration offers a few key benefits.

Automatic Call Integration

ClickPath can deliver data into Google Analytics for offline call sessions. Marketers have a variety of options to control the calls and the type of data delivered to Google Analytics:

  • Pay-per-click (PPC) click-throughs utilizing either manual or auto URL-tagging methods, including any manually tagged keywords from other search engines, such as Bing and Yahoo!
  • When captured, raw queries for organic search terms, including information from non-Google search engines
  • Calls of a specific minimum duration (optional)
  • Client-defined monetary call values, allowing the client to view these totals within their Google Analytics accounts and define goals for them (optional)
  • Calls tied to specific AdOutlets (optional)

Prebuilt Google Analytics Report Templates

To help compare campaign and keyword performance, ClickPath will offer several prebuilt Google Analytics report templates for clients to download into their Google Analytics accounts. The reports include:

  • ClickPath Calls — Drilldown Master
  • ClickPath Calls by Paid Search Traffic
  • ClickPath Calls by New vs. Returning Visits
  • ClickPath Calls by Keyword Match Type
  • ClickPath Calls by Region/City

A/B Testing

Clients can also choose to create a custom goal for ClickPath calls within their Google Analytics interface for testing purposes. For example, through Google Analytics Content Experiments, clients can determine which one of two landing pages is the most successful in garnering calls. Picking the most successful landing page would optimize the client’s online web presence.

Call Counts in Linked Google AdWords Accounts

Marketers who link their Google Analytics and AdWords accounts will be able to see their ClickPath call counts within the AdWords interface as call conversions, allowing them to quickly assess which keywords generate calls before bidding more money on them. ClickPath calls automatically feed into AdWords without requiring any daily work from marketers to upload the data.
